- Promoting the development of cooperation between Italy and China
- Promoting the development of cultural, healthcare, scientific and technological interchanges between Italy and China
- Promote and support activities and initiatives such as conferences, meetings, conventions, seminars, delegation exchanges and visits that increase mutual knowledge of the two realities.

Goals
The International Medical Exchange Center Cultural Association, through its activities, seeks to:
- Promote the development of cultural, social, economic and technological interchanges and business partnerships;
- Promote, organize and support industry conferences, forums, exchanges, seminars, webinars, group studies, etc.
- Promote the introduction and the exportation of outstanding talents in medical profession between China and Italy;
- Promote the transformation and application of medical research results;
- Promote and organizing initiatives and events that enhance mutual understanding of cultural and social realities between Italy and China, promote mutual knowledge and exchanges, and establish friendly relationships between Italian and Chinese government agencies at all levels;
- Perform research, consulting, translation and interpreting activities, supporting Chinese and Italian institutions, enterprises, delegation and individuals
- Organize exchange of delegations and visits to China and Italy.
Background
Agreements with Institutions
In the context of bilateral cooperation in healthcare field between Italy and China and of the agreements signed between the Italian Ministry of Health and the National Health Commission of People’s Republic of China, the International Medical Exchange Center Cultural Association has contributed to the conclusion of agreements between Italian and Chinese Institutions and between Italian and Chinese hospitals for the development of human resources in healthcare field. The International Exchange Center Cultural Association was founded as Sinomarche Cultural Association and over the years has played a key role in Italy-China relations
Italy-China Agreements
- 19 April 2000: Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Health of the Italian Republic and the National Health Commission of People’s Republic of China on cooperation in health and medical science field.
- 9 May 2004: Action Plan for the years 2004-2006.
- 23 June 2011: Memorandum of Understanding between the Italian Istituto Superiore di Sanità supervised by the Ministry of the Italian Republic and the National Center of Health Research and Development of the National Health Commission of People’s Republic of China; Action Plan for the years 2011-2014.
- 11 June 2014: Three-year Action Plan adopted by Italian and Chinese Government’s Leaders, which identified the healthcare field as one of the five priorities for bilateral cooperation.
- 28 January 2016: Triennial Action Plan about the healthcare cooperation between the Italian Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin and the Head of Health National Commission Li Bin, signed during the visit of the Italian Minister in Beijing.
- 2019: Action Plan for Health Cooperation between the Ministry of Health of the Italian Republic and the National Health Commission of People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of the visit to Italy of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, which includes a significative increased cooperation in many sectors, that goes from exchange on health assistance model, health management and risk management to pharma policies, prevention on infectious and non-infectious diseases, to sports medicine.
- 2020: Action Plan Towards 2025, filled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, that establish the priority areas of the cooperation between Italy and Cina in healthcare and scientific sector, that is: Life, Biomedicine and Health Science.
- 2024: Action Plan on Health Collaboration between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Italy and the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China for the years 2024 - 2026. The two parties will cooperate in the following priority areas: prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of chronic diseases; human resources in health; hospital management; digital health and telemedicine; infectious disease prevention and emergency response in public health; primary health care and general medicine; health care for the elderly; etc.
